After over a year and more, Ramya was not seen on the silver screen. Today (Friday, 5 Feb 2010), her Kannada movie JUST MAATH MAATHALI is released. Starring opposite to Sudeep, the movie has received well by the audience in Karnataka. It is more popular because of the chemistry between Sudeep and Ramya was excellent.Ramya made her debut in Tamil film Industry with Silambarsan in Kuttu. Which is popular hit of Tamil. Other Tamil followed, like Giri, Thoondil, Vaaranam Aayiram, Polladhan against the heroes like Silambarsan, Arjun, Shaam, Surya and Dhanush. In Malayalam movie Vismayathumbathu directed by Fazil, she played the role of a ghost, pair with Mallu superstar Mohanlal.Ramya has also acted in a new short film, which was made to create AIDS awareness. The story of the film was by Meera Nair and the film was directed by none other than Santosh Sivan
